Penafsiran Alkitab merupakan bagian penting dalam studi teologi Kristen karena berkaitan langsung dengan upaya memahami firman Allah secara benar dan bertanggung jawab. Namun, perbedaan konteks historis, budaya, bahasa, dan genre antara dunia Alkitab dan pembaca masa kini menuntut adanya metode hermeneutik yang mampu menjembatani kesenjangan tersebut. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penelaahan Alkitab induktif melalui metode Observation, Interpretation, Application (OIA) sebagai model hermeneutik dalam menafsirkan perumpamaan-perumpamaan dalam Injil Matius. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dengan metode studi pustaka, dengan memanfaatkan berbagai literatur hermeneutik, tafsiran Injil Matius, serta karya teologi biblika yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa metode OIA memberikan kerangka yang sistematis dan praktis dalam proses penafsiran, dimulai dari pengamatan teks secara teliti, penafsiran berdasarkan konteks historis dan teologis, hingga penerapan makna teks dalam kehidupan kontemporer. Dalam konteks perumpamaan Injil Matius, metode ini terbukti relevan karena karakter perumpamaan yang bersifat simbolis, kontekstual, dan berpusat pada pengajaran tentang Kerajaan Allah membutuhkan pembacaan yang cermat dan tidak spekulatif. Pendekatan OIA juga membantu pembaca menghindari kecenderungan alegorisasi berlebihan serta penafsiran subjektif yang terlepas dari maksud asli teks. Selain itu, metode ini menunjukkan keseimbangan antara pemahaman akademik dan transformasi spiritual, sehingga penelaahan Alkitab tidak hanya menghasilkan pengetahuan, tetapi juga mendorong pertumbuhan iman dan ketaatan. Meskipun demikian, penelitian ini juga menegaskan bahwa metode OIA perlu diperkaya dengan pendekatan hermeneutik lain agar penafsiran menjadi lebih komprehensif. Dengan demikian, penelaahan Alkitab induktif melalui OIA dapat dipandang sebagai model hermeneutik yang relevan dan aplikatif bagi gereja, pendidikan teologi, serta pembacaan Alkitab secara pribadi dalam rangka memahami dan menghidupi nilai-nilai Kerajaan Allah secara kontekstual.
